The number of people who attend cultural industry events in Saskatchewan is more than the population of Saskatoon.

The SCIDC's primary goal is to foster the cultural industries in our province. These four industries, defined by the Provincial Government in the Saskatchewan Cultural Industries Development Strategy are:

book publishing;
visual arts and crafts, including:
  crafts;
  visual arts; and
  galleries
film and video; and
music and sound recording 

We have included the Cultural Industries Development Strategy (CIDS) Executive Summary and the Status of Recommendations on our website.
